Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
Or is it? A new study out of the University of Chicago finds that the physical stress of marital loss can continue long after the emotional wounds have supposedly healed. What’s more, writes health blogger Tara Parker-Pope in the New York Times, “Middle-age people who never married have fewer chronic health problems than those who were divorced or widowed.”
