The Family Bed(lam)

This is what our bed used to look like:

And this is what it looks like now:

This morning, the following items could be located in it: A large anthology of Mother Goose, four pacifiers, two burp cloths, a nursing bra, boxers, a towel, a sketchy glow worm, a Mexican rattle, various Julia Donaldson books, LadyBug Girl, a Sleep Sack, a baby hat, two hair clips (one grown up, one toddler), my Blackberry and an iPad, which clearly has the shelf life of Spam.

Remember opportunity costs? They’re what we give up to get something else. The opportunity cost of life with two kids? Order, and a bed we can all our own.
