We dig transparency. It greases the wheels of capitalism and keeps many marriages humming along beautifully.
Which is why we love this post by Jenny Rosenstrach on her excellent blog, Dinner, A Love Story. She kicked off 2011 by writing her husband a letter, fessing up to certain things she did during the previous year, like trying to blame some questionable music on her iPod on one of their daughters. ”I confess that I was listening to Taylor Swift by myself,” she writes.
Andy, her husband (who also happens to be our editor and who saved us from the horrible fate that was ourselves), wrote back to Jenny. Among his confessions:
“When you’re out, I squirt the Reddi-Wip straight into the kids’ mouths.”
We highly recommend trying this exercise at home. The letter-writing, not the Reddi-Wip.

Hi Jenny,
My husband and I keep a private blog. It is only viewed and written by the two of us. We are free to share whatever we want with each other on that blog.
What a great idea. I am inspired!
